I’m still partial to Gorgo, but he’s a different era and concept.
I found Gorgo on YouTube recently and love it yes they can scoff at the minster but it’s a timeless story. Plus it shows the power of imagination of the makers to get their story on screen
The era for a specific sci-fi monster, certainly when comparing the older with the newer, makes me partial to some of the older ones that I grew up with. And thankfully I could tolerate specific sci-fi monsters at a very young age thanks to Doctor Who chiefly. I’ve not yet seen Gorgo but I’ve read about it. I knew that William Sylvester (2001: A Space Odyssey’s Dr. Heywood Floyd) is in the cast. Maybe someday I’ll see it as I’ve finally gotten round to quite a few older sci-fi movies for the first time in this century.
